The Ruins

Today started like any other. Walking around the desolate and abandoned waste lands – hunting for the object . As I looked around what was once a beautiful city and now it’s a pile of ancient and forgotten ruins .A whole country was counting on me to save every body ( especially the king and queen ). Once I’ve finished my missions , I have to return it to the queen .I couldn’t let them down . Carefully , I scavenged around the crumbly ruins ; it was of now use (it seemed hopeless).Suddenly, my attention was caught by the noise of an old , abandoned ,metallic container crashing from the edge of once an impressive structure. Hurriedly, I raced towards the dented box – kicking at the rusty hinges. Unpriestly, the door swung open and what did I see ? It was the electronic device , that had only a slight crack in it ,I’d been searching for …

The ruins

Grass covered the lifeless town. Once modern houses were now crumbling apart. I approached the dusty dry town; it was murky and smoky. Moss was crawling up the mossy trees (which were wilting). Slowly tip-toeing, I began to wonder what happened to my once joyful town to make it this gloomy. Not one bird in the sky. It was almost like the town had been attacked. But what by? Sky-scrapers with smashed windows glared down on the cracked stone pathway. Why did this happen to the innocent town? Finally I reached the box!
The rusty door was close to falling off. I booted the front causing the lid to fall apart. Peering into the box wishing the thing I was looking for was there, stood the smashed screen. Hands shaking, I reached for the screen and grabbed it. One the delicate screen it read, NANO BOTS 3, 2, 1! Suddenly a deafening crash came from behind me. I slowly turned around and there stood a large, metallic machine guns on the side of it. As fast as I could, I rushed as fast as I could to my motorbike.
Suddenly I remembered I had my laser which could cut through metal. Quickly I grabbed it and through my laser at it! I had defeated the monster! I saw the last dying embers of the machine. It should make a difference, which will be triumphantly, to the others.

The ruins

It was a normal day just like any other I was looking around at all the mossy buildings and broken houses I couldn’t believe I used to live here in such a nice town and now look what it has turned into my eye cached a glimpse of a tall building, some may say skyscraper just the building I was looking for. Crawling through the piles of rubbish I finally got there but the door was locked which was no use so I kicked it open then suddenly a metallic crate fell from the window I wondered what it was and if it was what I was looking for.
I sprinted across the waste land dunes, which took a while, until I reached a dented old safe. Surprisingly it opened as soon as I touched it and there it was the object I was looking for. I took it out of the safe and used my powers to get it working again. Now I could save my family and my home city. Suddenly, I was disturbed by a buzzing noise then as soon as I turned my head I saw the gyrocopter and his soldier like drones coming to get me. As soon as I saw them I knew what to do. Run! I fell over a few times but I finally made it to my motorbike and off I went
They were caching up so I had to go faster I lost the gyrocopter. I didn’t know if I should leave the mission or carry on. I decided to carry on the mission I went through a long tunnel and the drones exploded when I came out the gyrocopter was there I threw some dynamite at it and BOOM!

The ruin
As I wandered around the desolate, lifeless city, which was wiped-out long ago by AI, I felt like it was an ordinary day- but I knew it wasn’t. It was much more dangerous. Looking around, a small box caught my attention; when I got over to the box (which seemed to be in worse shape from close up) I looked at the rusty hinges, thinking about the device I needed to cure the Nano-virus. I tried to open it but it didn’t work- I kicked it and the small door swung open. Looking through the contents of the box I felt a feeling of hopelessness. Finally I found it (but I was suddenly disturbed by a strange noise, should I ignore, could I ignore it). Then I realised what those noises were and I did not want to be around them. It was the Gyrocopter!

Running as fast as I could to get back to my motorcycle, I slid down the small ramp and hopped on it. Racing down the apocalyptic-like road, I could no longer hear the metallic humming; I looked back only to discover that the Gyrocopter had been replaced by two smaller probes flying at even faster speeds. I decided, the best way to survive was to lose them so I found the darkest tunnel I could find. Unfortunately for me, was what I didn’t know was that the probes had lights. Speeding ahead, I heard a powerful purple laser shoot behind me. I decided to take action, throwing a stick of dynamite behind me I knew that once they came into close contact with it that they would be destroyed. It worked. Suddenly, the Gyrocopter came out of nowhere. I’d had enough. Pulling my sword out, I leapt off my bike and stabbed it.

It seemed to be a day like any other. Wandering around the abandoned and desolate wastelands- hunting for the object. As I looked around the unusual city everything got ruined and that was really sad. Every plant was over grown, they were around, (fully covered) the buildings; even houses! Carefully, I scavenged around the crumbling ruins, and I got startled by a mysterious, metallic box; should I open the box?… Well I did kick the box open in frustration; then I saw what I was hunting for, the electric device although it was slightly cracked but at least it was working. At the corner of my eye the gyrocopter and the soldier- like drones aggressively heading straight towards me. My first thought that I should run. Now. Quickly!
I jumped onto my motorbike and rode it as fast as I could and drove like a race car. The soldier- like drones tried to shoot me and to shoot me down but luckily I have been practising my motorbike skills. I went down the tunnel, I went the opposite way to the hill and the drone followed me to the top.
I quickly got my shining sword out and the device and I put them together and the sword became electric. Running like at the Olympics, I jumped and stabbed the sword in its head plus it exploded and when I got back, the whole city started to cheer for me because I saved the city and I became the hero of the city.

The man, by Isabelle

April 27th, 2017

Cautiously, I crawled up the moaning stairs. I had a strange feeling, I wasn’t the only one here! Creaking came from the room behind me. My heart beating out of my chest, I peered into the room in front of me. Red blood spread across the ripped bed sheets. Large handprints like a giant were imprinted onto the ancient walls. A petrifying scream echoed through the whole house. To my left was a note, from my mum! The note read, Run! My skin tightened and eyes widened. A shadow of a man with a knife startled me. I ran as fast as a lion catching its prey until I reached a dead end and the man was in front of me …

Pigeon Impossible, By Miaa

April 5th, 2017

One afternoon, Walter Beckett, who was wearing a smart, black suit and carrying a metallic box [which looked like a briefcase], strolled down the bumpy pavement thinking it was a calm; normal day. Sitting down to have his nice lunch, he opened his bag; there was a mouth-watering, large bagel.
As Walter went to take a bite of the delicious bagel, a pigeon swooped down; stopped on the dirty, rusty bench. Giving Walter a sly look, Walter took a piece off the bagel and through it to the pigeon. Unbelievably, the pigeon refused the remarkable bagel. All of a sudden, the unknown item fell off the bench [like a mystery] and the pigeon was gone. Suddenly, the unknown item began to fire red hot, flaming lasers at Walter. Shocked, Walter ran and ducked. Then the briefcase set a rocket off from a building also Walter Becket flew up into the blue, bright sky to save Russia.

Pigeon Imposssible, By Ryan

April 5th, 2017

On one Tuesday morning, a man named Walter Becket was walking down the street, and very sneakily took a rocket controller metallic briefcase out of another spies hand. He sat down on a bench nearby and opened the case and ate his lunch, which was a bagel. Suddenly, a pigeon came out of no ware staring at the bagel. Greedily, the pigeon wanted all of it so it jumped up at Walter, and in fear, he just threw it away to get the pigeon of him. Unsuspectedly, the pigeon fell into the briefcase.
Walter stared at the case wondering what was going to happen. All of a sudden, the bird started peaking at the buttons in the case. Unknown from the bird, it was shooting lasers, flying, and causing havoc everywhere. People were screaming every second; Walter couldn’t think of anything to do. Until, he came up with a plan of: getting the bagel, putting the bagel above fire and hoping the bird would come out. Surprisingly, it worked, the pigeon slowly came out and looked straight at the bagel. Walter went straight for the case; but the pigeon went straight back in and aimed the lasers right at Walter.

Alice in Wonderland, by Sam

March 17th, 2017

Today was the weirdest day of my life so it started off like a normal day. There I was sitting in the meadow nearly falling into my slumber and every now and then peeking into my sister’s book (which had no pictures) and it had no conversation where is the point of that. I needed something to do but in the blazing hot sun I could not be bothered to do anything but then a white rabbit with bright pink eyes ran past in a thick black leather waist coat. A faint little voice said “I’m late; I’m really late “as the rabbit pulled a silver pocket watch out of his waist coat pocket. I had nothing to do except follow the marvellous creature. We ran and ran and ran until he disappeared down a rabbit hole. It was so dark and I was so scared as I was falling down the hole, which was about eight miles down, but in was relived to find myself o the soft, green grass next to a little door. As scared as I was , I pulled the courage to open the door and there I was in a beautiful playground like forest type land.
