St George and the Dragon by Bradley

Many years ago there was once a calm, ordinary village-in the middle of England-until one day. A ferocious, fire breathing dragon swept in from out of nowhere and burnt a nearby tree on fire. It went in on the village and sent a big wave of burning fire into the village. The village people begged for it to stop but he would only stop if the villagers gave it the beautiful princess. The villagers, who didn’t know what to do, had no choice but to do what he wanted…
The villagers ran to the palace pushing her servants out of the way and eventually they found her. All the villagers rushed towards her and when they caught her. They tied her hands behind her back and dragged her into the courtyard. The villagers were sorry but were too busy wondering what that trotting sound was. A brave, ferocious knight on a beautiful war horse barged through the palace doors. The steel armoured warrior with his broad iron sword in on hand and his shield with a red cross on a white background said he’d kill the dragon and would be the protector of this small little village for the rest of his life. The brave, mighty warrior with his fiery blazing sword trot of on his powerful warhorse. He got to the dragon.
The dragon, which looked inferno-like, sent a brilliant red flame past Georges head. The fearless, heroic warrior with a circular metal shield charged towards the demonic, dark dragon that had razor sharp talons. George, who was as fearless as ever swung his razor sharp sword and stabbed it square in the chest. Al the villagers ran towards George to check if he was alright and he was apart from a couple of bruises here and there but was alright.
