The Ruins

Today started like any other. Walking around the desolate and abandoned waste lands – hunting for the object . As I looked around what was once a beautiful city and now it’s a pile of ancient and forgotten ruins .A whole country was counting on me to save every body ( especially the king and queen ). Once I’ve finished my missions , I have to return it to the queen .I couldn’t let them down . Carefully , I scavenged around the crumbly ruins ; it was of now use (it seemed hopeless).Suddenly, my attention was caught by the noise of an old , abandoned ,metallic container crashing from the edge of once an impressive structure. Hurriedly, I raced towards the dented box – kicking at the rusty hinges. Unpriestly, the door swung open and what did I see ? It was the electronic device , that had only a slight crack in it ,I’d been searching for …

The ruins

Grass covered the lifeless town. Once modern houses were now crumbling apart. I approached the dusty dry town; it was murky and smoky. Moss was crawling up the mossy trees (which were wilting). Slowly tip-toeing, I began to wonder what happened to my once joyful town to make it this gloomy. Not one bird in the sky. It was almost like the town had been attacked. But what by? Sky-scrapers with smashed windows glared down on the cracked stone pathway. Why did this happen to the innocent town? Finally I reached the box!
The rusty door was close to falling off. I booted the front causing the lid to fall apart. Peering into the box wishing the thing I was looking for was there, stood the smashed screen. Hands shaking, I reached for the screen and grabbed it. One the delicate screen it read, NANO BOTS 3, 2, 1! Suddenly a deafening crash came from behind me. I slowly turned around and there stood a large, metallic machine guns on the side of it. As fast as I could, I rushed as fast as I could to my motorbike.
Suddenly I remembered I had my laser which could cut through metal. Quickly I grabbed it and through my laser at it! I had defeated the monster! I saw the last dying embers of the machine. It should make a difference, which will be triumphantly, to the others.

The man, by Isabelle

Cautiously, I crawled up the moaning stairs. I had a strange feeling, I wasn’t the only one here! Creaking came from the room behind me. My heart beating out of my chest, I peered into the room in front of me. Red blood spread across the ripped bed sheets. Large handprints like a giant were imprinted onto the ancient walls. A petrifying scream echoed through the whole house. To my left was a note, from my mum! The note read, Run! My skin tightened and eyes widened. A shadow of a man with a knife startled me. I ran as fast as a lion catching its prey until I reached a dead end and the man was in front of me …

A diary entry by Daisy

Friday 10th October

Dear Diary,

Today was the worst day of my life. I almost had … The cheese touch. It all started when I was in P.E. Me, Rowley and this guy called Ravi were paired up as a group. We were all pretty bad at football, literally , so we decided to slip away and have a rest. We sneaked  around the back of the school by the smelly, full dustbins.

I could see a mouldy, rotten piece of cheese about four yards away , so I went over to investigate. Crouching down, I hesitated before steadily reaching for the cheese. Ravi suddenly started yelling at me to stop. Perplexed, I stood up. Then, he started explaining about how a boy called Kyle once touched the cheese. It was chaos , seriously. The one and only way to get rid of it was by passing it on. One day, he sneaked up behind Taylor and tapped her on the shoulder. She spun around and screamed. Everyone ran away from her. And so the cheese touch frenzy began. Enemy passed it on to enemy, friends turned on friends. It spread like wildfire. Until one day, John passed it on to this Italian exchange kid. He went back to Italy, taking the cheese touch with him.

It sits patiently waiting for it’s next victim. This is a terrible place…
